It’s that time of year again – on Sunday, November 3 at 2:00 am clocks “fall back” by one hour.
Wait! Didn’t California voters pass a bill to eliminate the changing of time twice a year? Yes, about 60% of California voters support Proposition 7 in the 2018 election that authorized the state legislature by a two-third’s vote to authorize year-round Daylight Saving Time, subject to Federal approval.
In May the California Assembly passed a bill authorizing the change and the bill now rests in the California Senate’s Committee on Energy, Utilities and Communications. This committee apparently is concerned that such a change would have consequences for interstate business with California’s neighboring states and Mexico.
So, here we go again! Don’t forget to roll your clocks back by one hour, and as we do every year, we remind you that it’s a good weekend to review our semi-annual home maintenance suggestions.
